The WooCommerce Name Your Price plugin allows store owners to offer flexible pricing by having customers decide how much they want to pay for selected products. This feature is ideal for accepting donations, conducting market testing, or providing a more personalized shopping experience. Store owners can suggest a price, set a minimum amount, or leave pricing fully open for customers to enter their desired value, enhancing accessibility and attracting new buyers.
The plugin supports a range of WooCommerce product types, including simple, variable, subscription, bundles, composite, and mix-and-match products. It integrates with other extensions to expand its capabilities. For example, when combined with the PDF Product Vouchers plugin, customers can create printable gift certificates for any value they choose, redeemable in person. Similarly, integration with the Product Bundles plugin enables selling combos or kits with flexible pricing: customers can name their price for the entire bundle or for individual simple products within it. Note that “Per Item” pricing only applies to simple products.
Customization options allow store owners to control how the “Name Your Price” field displays on product pages, manage visibility, and set pricing rules that fit their sales strategy. The plugin also supports Subscriptions, where subscribers can select when to pay. Variable subscriptions with different billing periods can now be set up as product variations. Overall, the user-friendly interface simplifies setup and fosters a smoother shopping experience while offering flexibility for experimenting with pricing models.
The Name Your Price plugin also supports the Product Bundles plugin (separate purchase) which allows you to sell combos, simple kits, and product assemblies or offer a discount when items are purchased together. With Name Your Price support, you can sell the entire bundle for a customer-selected, flexible price. You can also sell the bundle with “per item” pricing and the total bundle price will be calculated once the Name Your Price item’s price is set. Please note that “Per Item” pricing currently only works with simple products.
